Emma Frost refusing to shut the fuck up about Shaw’s pick for red queen being a tramp who was sleeping with him to become queen was fascinating because she literally did the same thing to become white queen.

I would like to note that Emma being “chosen” by Shaw as queen rather than instrumental in his coup (and the only reason it succeeded) is just one of many (bad takes) on the character to begin with.
I hate slut-shamey Emma Frost because it makes no sense and is fucked up.
I also hate that I’m meant to believe that an extremely prodigious, smart woman had to rely on Sebastian Shaw for anything. She literally made Ned Buckman (the man who Shaw replaced as Black King) *turn his gun on himself* in retribution for a sentinel attack and murdered Paris Seville (who she replaced as White Queen). To this day one wonders what Shaw was required for after all and in all the retconning they’ve done for this, the least sensible is that someone who was demonstrably smarter and more powerful than Shaw in at least one way he couldn’t overcome without significant help *had* to sleep with him to come into her power when. If she *did* to sleep with him to attain power, whatever, fine, no shame in the game, but… as it stands her whole relationship with Shaw makes no sense.
